Don’t miss the 2019 HR Summit and the opportunity for growth it holds for you and your organization!

Date:  October 8, 2019

Location:  Gaia Hotel and Spa

Participants will have the opportunity to engage at two levels during the conference.  First the speakers and the material they cover will enable participants to identify practical steps they can take to make any necessary pivots to implement proven concepts that drive results.

Second, the flow of the event intentionally encourages participants to meet each other.  Often times the help we need is just a seat away.  Building connections with other like minded professionals brings value, experience and comradery that could create the tipping point your organization needs.

“Creative thinking inspires ideas.  Ideas inspire change.” – Barbara Januszkiewicz

This HR Summit’s topics are filled with the creative thinking to inspire ideas for your organization.  Ideas that will help you develop and grow how your organization works, flows and interacts with others and yourselves.  These ideas can lead to the change you’ve been searching for.

We searched far and wide for quality speakers that will bring relevant information to help all of us learn and continue our personal development while helping our organizations thrive.  The current lineup is qualified to head a state or national convention, and we secured them for you, right here in Redding.

You will learn from their experiences, stories and life lessons.  You will leave with ideas, concepts and tools to begin to implement the change you know you must bring to get to the next level.

The HR Summit is the premier HR event in the area that you can’t afford to miss.

Catherine Mattice Zundel, MA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

While serving as the Director of Human Resources for a nonprofit organization, Catherine found herself working with a bully. Fascinated by the fact that no one ever stood up to this person, and that the Executive Director wouldn’t dare address the bullying behavior, Catherine decided to write a paper on toxic leadership for one of her grad school classes. It was then that she discovered the phrase “workplace bullying” and that there were 30 years of academic research on the topic.

Since then, Catherine has been working with organizations to assist them in building systemic action plans to end workplace bullying and replace it with a positive workplace culture.

The Well-Trained Supervisor:

Your First Line of Defense

Supervisors are on the front line of your organization. They set the tone (good or bad), enforce policies (or do their own thing), and are often the first to learn of behavior that violates the policy or the law. Train them well, and they can help your organization run smoothly. Fail to train them, and it could cost your dearly! This session will teach you the many wage and hour, leave of absence, and other laws your supervisors need to know and enforce.
