Sgt. Andy Houghtby is the Deputy Director of Office of Emergency Services (OES) for Tehama County Sheriff’s office. Sgt. Houghtby has been in law enforcement for 23 years and conducts Active Shooter Emergency Response training for law enforcement personnel as well as civilians.

Effective August 1, 2019, SHRM Certification holders who are working toward recertification can earn PDCs for activities they participate in through their grace period (the 60-day period between their certification end date and expiration date).

During this monthly lunch-n-learn you will be introduced to the Run Hide Fight options in response to an active shooter event, as recommended by the Department of Homeland Security. Additionally, the ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) principles will be discussed, with examples showing how a static lockdown is not the best course of action.
