FEHA to Permit Voluntary Veterans’ Preference in Hiring Decisions (AB 1383)
Lastly, while most employment-related bills passed, there were several bills that did not, including bill that would have allowed private employers to provide a hiring preference to veterans (AB 1383). Northstate SHRM is supporting CalSHRM’s lobbying efforts to present the needed adjustments to this bill so it can be presented in early 2016.
