Jack is doing two presentations:
1) “The Leader’s Role in Creating Fulfilling Jobs”
a. This seminar is focused towards leaders on all levels. The employee’s relationship with their direct report is the most important factor in job fulfillment. Find out how to increase engagement along with the increases in productivity that come along with happy and fulfilled employees.
2) ”How Leaders Become Super Heros but their Capes are Invisible”
a. There are over 100 competencies and behaviors that define great leadership. During this interactive session we will identify five strategic ones that propel leaders to the Super Hero status.
For the last three decades, Jack Smalley has devoted his career to the field of human resources. His experience includes executive-level management in a number of different industries such as oil, chemical and packaging with an emphasis in manufacturing, engineering, sales, logistics and corporate management.
Jack serves as the director of HR learning and development for Express Employment Professionals. He provides human resource training and consulting for nearly 600 Express offices and clients in the U.S. and Canada. Jack offers clients preventive measures that minimize the threat of allegations emanating from workplace problems and employee relations issues.
Jack is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and holds the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Jack is a participant in the SHRM Mentor Program for HR professionals. He was also selected to speak at the 2008 National SHRM conference in Chicago, and is featured in this video on employee relations on the SHRM website (must be a SHRM member to view video). In 2011, Jack was a featured speaker at the National SHRM Conference in Las Vegas.
