How to Create a Bucketfilling Organization

Is it really possible to create a workplace culture where everyone feels welcomed, cared for, appreciated, and supported?

Could our workplace realities allow us to be other-centered and selfless servant leaders who always interact with each other with kindness, empathy, and respect?

Would an organization like this lead to motivated, engaged, productive, and successful team members?

Let’s find out together as we explore the usefulness of Donald Clifton’s simple but powerful “Bucketfilling” metaphor for helping everyone in your organization choose to fill more, dip less, and use their lid when interacting with others.

Our Goal is for you to:

1) Understand that with effort it is possible to create a workplace where associates/co-workers actively support, care for and appreciate each other, and that this effort will build a positive workplace filled with motivated, engaged, productive, and successful team members.

2) Be equipped with the knowledge and skills to be able to effectively contribute to this effort.

3) Begin to create a plan to implement strategies to achieve these organizational goals

About the Speaker

Kelly Nickel, M.A. Ed, is an authentic and enthusiastic educator who likes to motivate and inspire learners to put in the effort necessary to lead them to the results they deserve.

Kelly divides his professional life into two areas:  Since 2007 Kelly has enjoyed serving the students at Shasta College as a popular communication instructor, mostly teaching Public Speaking courses, but having also taught classes in customer service, leadership, success, and wine appreciation.

In 2010 Kelly started a company called Bucketfillers Forever, where he travels to elementary schools throughout the Western U.S. delivering high-impact school assemblies and adult workshops to teach everyone how and why to be “Bucketfillers” in all that they think, say, and do.  An expert in the fields of communication and social-emotional intelligence, Kelly has now delivered his programs to more than 320,000 children and adults in over 630 schools, conferences, and organizations.  Kelly’s message is simple:  “If it fills a bucket do it, if it dips a bucket don’t.”

He earned both his Bachelors in Communication and his Masters in Education from Chico State University, and is a lifelong learner and passionate educator who believes that we get the most out of each day when we strive to build meaningful relationships with others and seek ways every day to give of ourselves in the service of each other.
