As Head of Talent & Organizational Capability for Microsoft’s Customer & Partner Solutions group, Cherise Mendoza drives the talent management strategy worldwide, accelerating the performance and engagement of the world’s leading cloud sales and marketing force. In this capacity, she leads critical organizational capability work, supporting divisional and company-wide change management efforts and leads key strategic initiatives in support of the diversity & inclusive, talent and capability agenda.
Having been with Microsoft since 2005, Cherise’s experience has spanned three continents, working across multiple HR disciplines including HR Business Partnering, Subsidiary Leadership, Talent Management & Acquisition, Organizational Capability and Learning & Development. Prior to taking on her current role, she held the position of VP of HR for Microsoft Canada, and prior to that led HR for Microsoft’s subsidiary, covering 49 countries across West, East, Central Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands, which, like Canada, was diverse in culture, and vast in geography.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Cherise spent several years working at a privately held software company partnering with multiple organizations in both a Recruitment and HR Business Partnering capacity. Cherise hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
Outside of work, Cherise and her husband Larry spend their time devoted to their four children. She loves sports, actively plays soccer and tennis and enjoys time reading, entertaining friends and family and traveling to new places.
